if you’re a feed scroller or a frantic poster these tools are about to make some difference

We know Mark is having a hard time as we speak — worry not, he has a few grand left in the bank despite all rumors and accusations — but you can still have a pleasant experience by adopting powered up, fine tuned and adless versions of the social giants’ apps.

From simple navigation and customization to hardcore edition and publishing, this selection is about to make your social media life… simpler.

Shall we?

1. GBINSTAGRAM

It’s developed by this coder conveniently known as Atnfas Hoak and it delivers goodies ‘standard Insta’ wouldn’t even dare to test or roll out: you can watch Stories anonymously (hey… nobody needs to know aight?!), mark conversations, disable UI feats like left or right drag, translate comments into a language of your choice, log-in to multi-sessions(that’s right, “this just in, dual Instagram on your phone, right now!”) but, what really lures users into this mod is the fact that you can instantly — and smoothly — save and download pictures, videos and Stories.

integration with IGTV is also flawless

Try it out!

2. GBWHATSAPP

GBInstagram is the legitimate son of GBWhatsapp, where it all started for Omar, oops, Atnfas Hoak.

This mod allows you to delete or recall sent messages, hide or view the status privacy, hide your chats, hide last seen, blue ticks, second ticks, save stories and status, a new collection of emojis, share videos up to 50MB, bypass the character limitation for groups (for status and group names) and say to that little “is typing” a good farewell.

you gotta remember to update the mod in order to enjoy the full range of its perks

3. WORDSWAG

If your thing is quick pic edition, say no more.

Well, just say Wordswag in case you’re suffering from a stroke of “OMG I need some social visuals Stat!”.

Nice UI, it’s fast, reliable and will definitely animate your posts, whether you’re a community manager & social listener or simply…

‘trollin’ for sum bootay’.

4. METAL

fast and lightweight. Gets the job pretty well done and handles live streaming like a charm

I put this one right here because it’s fast, reliable and it gets the all-in-one social media app job done. No embroidery. No fuss. Functionality. Reliability. Yeah baby.

5. FRANZ

“Why is Franz called Franz?

Franz, Franz, Franz, Franz, Franz, Franz, Franz… Easy to say, easy to pronounce and full of history. Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria had a rough time following the downfall of the Austrian Empire. Why not give someone with the presumably exceptional communication skills of an emperor a second chance?”

Sometimes it’s easier to copy+paste and answer some questions. Or the other way around. Either way, here we go:

“What services are supported by Franz?

Franz supports a great variety of business and private messaging & chat services like Slack, WhatsApp, WeChat, HipChat, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, Google Hangouts, GroupMe, Skype just to name a few”.

Perhaps this one interests you the most, in a year of plenty, many and scary facebook PR fires:

External Services

Unlike the impression, Franz is very close to a web browser and does not need direct access to external service API’s. That means Franz does not store any of your external service login credentials on your computer or on a cloud service. The only data that is stored are cookies and the browser cache — exactly as it is when using a web browser like Safari or Chrome.

If you explicitly opt in to synchronize your session data (session data usually does not contain any passwords) with your other computers, we will encrypt your credentials, using high security industry standards, and store them as long as necessary on our servers. The encryption of your data will happen on your computer. We will never have access to plain text credentials”.

A cool interface, a nice interaction between all your social accounts and seamless integration (not sure about video chats though, they don’t address them in the website so I’m not sure it actually works) make Franz one of the best choices if you’re looking for simplicity+functionality.
